During this holiday season more women will be expected to be the frugal housewife saving on everything that they can. According to a recent survey which was conducted by the National Retail Federation, women will be more frugal this Christmas compared to men.
Reasons for this include the motherly figure emerging to save money for the household as well as retaining as much savings during the recession as possible. They also tend to be the ones that are the savers of the household. Women, who have known to be the biggest shoppers in the demographic stand point, are also the most common group of individuals to want to save money when possible. This includes groceries for the household as well as Christmas gifts.
